ERP Cutover: Cutover Methodology

  • Cutover requires that ALL tasks and constraints, whether technical, data or business, are incorporated into a single CUTOVER PLAN from planning phases right through to execution and Go Live.​

  • This will cover the RAMP DOWN of what the Business, etc need to do as we enter final Cutover like engineering freezes of master data or ensuring last payments runs, last despatches, last production shifts, etc are agreed.​

  • Also to ensure that EXTERNAL PARTNERS like Customers, Vendors, Banks, 3PL's, etc are managed to ensure a successful go live for all involved.​

  • Creating BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANS so that any short term go live issues in critical processes will have a "plan B" to be used until any issues are resolved.​

  • The RAMP UP will ensure we know how we are going live. e.g how many sales orders, production orders, etc and where we may need extra/rapid support.

  • ​The COMMAND CENTRE to ensure that ALL tasks, issues, etc that occur from final cutover through to Go Live and into Hypercare are subject to close scrutiny and fast management.

  • ​A risk based approach at points of significant commitment or risk will be controlled by formal GONOGO checkpoints to ensure all management and team have the same view of status and risks.​
